Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

The program featured the following:
Rev. John Sumo-Health Promotion Director/Ministry of Health talks about the Social Mobilization Strategy for addressing the cluster of health problems in Sinoe County; Ambolai Mamey-Communication Officer/National Oil Company of Liberia-NOCAL speaks about NOCAL’s support to efforts in boosting mental health services; and Emmanuel Wheinyue-Communication Officer /National Decentralization Implementation Secretariat, Ministry of Internal Affairs provides updates to the public about progress being made by the Bong County Service center in its first year of operations.
