COVID-19 is a viral disease, designated as Coronavirus Disease 2019. A highly infectious illness, it is associated with multiple issues in the human organ system with a primary focus in the lungs. In February 2020, COVID-19 was declared as a "Pandemic" by WHO.
With direction from the mission leadership and guidance from the Force Medical Office, a designated isolation facility for COVID-19 cases has been set up in UNDOF. At present Level One Plus Hospital, UNDOF is prepared to tackle difficulties concerning the COVID-19 crisis.
