
On 16 November 2025, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia Kaha Imnadze participated in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held in Tashkent.
At the invitation of the host country, SRSG Imnadze addressed the Heads of State conveying the message from the United Nations Secretary-General. In his message, the Secretary-General commended Central Asia’s dedication to multilateralism, their support to UN80 Initiative, and continued commitment to dialogue, cooperation and good-neighborly relations, noting the region’s progress in resolving longstanding issues, and advancing shared priorities. He also reaffirmed the United Nations’ full support to the region, and welcomed the strong and longstanding cooperation with UNRCCA.

Heads of Central Asian States were joined by the President of Azerbaijan, who had officially become а full-fledged member of the format.
The Consultative Meeting adopted the Joint Outcome Declaration, the Concept of Regional Security, Stability and Sustainable Development for Central Asia, and the Catalog of Security Risks and their Prevention Measures for Central Asia for 2026-2028.
