Closure of UNMHA

The United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) was established on 16 January 2019 pursuant to Security Council resolution 2452 (2019) to support the implementation of the Hudaydah Agreement in Yemen. Its mandate concluded on 31 March 2026, and United Nations support to peace efforts in Yemen continues under the leadership of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY).

UNMHA’s Quick Impact Projects Strengthen Resilience in Hudaydah Governorate

Officer-in-Charge of UNMHA , Ms. Mari Yamashita, visited several Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) across Al-Khawkha and Hays districts, supporting local recovery and stability.

From the Wave Breaker Project protecting coastal communities from sea erosion to new livelihood and environmental initiatives empowering women, youth, and mine victims individuals — these projects help communities rebuild, gain skills, and foster resilience in conflict-affected districts of #Hudaydah governorate.
