Closure of UNMHA

The United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) was established on 16 January 2019 pursuant to Security Council resolution 2452 (2019) to support the implementation of the Hudaydah Agreement in Yemen. Its mandate concluded on 31 March 2026, and United Nations support to peace efforts in Yemen continues under the leadership of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY).

UNMHA Head of Mission and RCC Chair General (rtd) Beary visits Hudaydah Port and meets the RCC delegation representing authorities in Sana'a and the Head of the Ports Corporation

UNMHA Head of Mission and RCC Chair General (rtd) Beary visited the Red Sea Ports Corporation today where he met with theRCC delegation representing authorities in Sana'a and the Head of the Ports Corporation before conducting a maiden tour of #Hudaydah port.

Discussions centred on means to enhance stability in #Hudaydah and the need to advance de-mining efforts to protect children, women and men. Beary emphasised the importance of maintaining the civilian character of Hudaydah’s ports, citing their criticality to millions of Yemenis.
