Closure of UNMHA

The United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) was established on 16 January 2019 pursuant to Security Council resolution 2452 (2019) to support the implementation of the Hudaydah Agreement in Yemen. Its mandate concluded on 31 March 2026, and United Nations support to peace efforts in Yemen continues under the leadership of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY).

UNMHA HOM Lollesgaard's Eid-ul-Fitr Greetings to Yemenis: Yemen Deserves Peace

The Head of the United Nations Mission to Support Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) and Chairman of the Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC) Lt. Gen. Michael Lollesgaard extends his warmest greetings and wishes for peace and prosperity to the Yemeni people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

“On the advent of the blessed Eid-ul-Fitr, it’s my pleasure and that of UNMHA family to send to you our congratulations and best wishes,” Lollesgaard said.

He added: “Yemen deserves peace and national dialogue is key to a lasting one. I wish you all Eid Mubarak."
