The United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) was established on 16 January 2019 pursuant to Security Council resolution 2452 (2019) to support the implementation of the Hudaydah Agreement in Yemen. Its mandate concluded on 31 March 2026, and United Nations support to peace efforts in Yemen continues under the leadership of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY).

UNMHA leadership visits the southern districts of Hudaydah

During the month of February, UNMHA’s leadership has visited the southern districts of Hudaydah on both sides of the frontline to monitor and assess the situation and listen to the people and communities on the ground, whose lives and livelihoods remain the most impacted by the conflict.

UNMHA would like to extend its gratitude to the parties' leadership and RCC members representing the Government of Yemen and the authorities in Sana’a for facilitating the Mission’s access to both sides of the frontline, as it is mandated by the UN Security Council.

The Mission is committed to building on this positive engagement with the parties on the path to lasting peace and stability for the children, women, and men of Hudaydah.
