Partnerships

We work to strengthen social and civic conditions for countrywide peace.

In Hudaydah, the United Nations Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) engages closely with United Nations agencies, funds and programmes, such as the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism and the World Food Programme, along with international and national non-governmental organizations operating locally. Through coordination and engagement with the parties, the Mission contributes to an enabling environment for the delivery of urgently needed humanitarian assistance and freedom of movement of civilians and goods from the ports of Hudaydah, Salif and Ras Isa to Hudaydah city and beyond.

The Mission works closely with the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) on political matters relating to the implementation of the Hudaydah Agreement. In this regard, the Head of Mission and the Special Envoy work in constant collaboration to ensure the Mission is best able to implement its tasks and work in a manner that is complementary to the efforts of the Envoy to secure a wider peace in Yemen. Due to the nature of the Mission, UNMHA and the Office of the Special Envoy draw on shared resources. Visit the OSESGY website here.
