Security Council Resolutions

Under the United Nations Charter, the Security Council has primary responsibility for maintaining international peace and security. All members of the United Nations agree to accept and carry out decisions of the Security Council. You can read and download recent Security Council resolutions on Hudaydah below:

  • Resolution 2691, 10 July 2023 - Extending the mandate of the United Nations Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) until 14 July, 2024.

  • Resolution 2505, 13 January 2020 - Extending the mandate of the United Nations Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) until 15 July, 2020.
  • Resolution 2481, 15 July 2019 - Extending the mandate of the United Nations Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) until 15 January, 2020.
  • Resolution 245216 January 2019 - Establishing a Special Political Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement in Yemen (UNMHA).
  • Resolution 245121 December 2018 - Endorsing the Stockholm Agreement, called on all parties to fully respect the ceasefire in Hudaydah, and authorising the Secretary-General to establish and deploy, for an initial period of 30 days, an advance monitoring team on the ground, to support and facilitate the immediate implementation of the Stockholm Agreement.
